An experienced professional team
The laboratory team is headed by laboratory director Mr. Yaakov Shen, and comprises scientific advisor Dr. Yair Israeli , a renowned researcher; laboratory manager Mrs. Dalia Ben Bassat; Dr. Alexander Shchukin and Mrs. Natasha Furman, who specialize in date palm micropropagation.

The nursery team is headed by nursery manager Mr. Abraham Zvieli , who is a specialist in hardening and acclimatization of date palm plants in the nursery.

Prime propagation material
The material used for laboratory propagation is selected by professionals from Zemach Dates, the professional date palm team at Zemach Regional Agricultural Research Center . The experienced and knowledgeable researchers, Dr. Zvi Bernstein and Mrs. Rachel Ben-Zvi, also assist in post-planting follow-up and consultation.

A laboratory closely connected to the growers
There is ongoing interaction between the laboratory team and the Zemach Group – between date palm growers and researchers. Consequently, the lab is closely connected to date palm growing in Israel and abroad, is able to frequently renew propagation material, stays in tune with growers' needs, and receives constant feedback from the field.

The plants at Zvieli Nursery are acclimatized under insect-proof mesh screens, and enjoy climate control and excellent professional care.

Disease and pest-free plants
The nursery is regularly supervised by the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture Plant Protection and Inspection Services (PPIS), who employ the most up-to-date inspection methods.

Each shipment is accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the PPIS, which guarantees disease and pest-free plants.
